Manager – Operations Consulting

About the role

As a Manager – Operations Consulting at dss+, you will lead large‑scale transformation programmes for high‑risk, asset‑intensive organisations in the Benelux region. Based in Ghent (or remotely), you will work closely with senior client leaders to improve safety, operational excellence and organisational resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver solutions across operational risk management, safety culture, process safety management (PSM) and operational excellence.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of consultants and subject‑matter experts to diagnose challenges and implement transformation roadmaps.
• Engage directly with clients to understand pain points, co‑create tailored solutions and ensure sustainable adoption.
• Develop structured work plans, monitor progress and manage end‑to‑end project delivery.
• Coach and develop team members to raise consulting capability and quality.
• Maintain long‑term trusted relationships with clients, travelling up to four days per week as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operations consulting or operational risk management, preferably in safety‑critical industries.
• Strong leadership and people‑development skills, with a track record of managing consulting teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently (up to 4 days/week) across the Benelux region.
