Logistics and Operations Supervisor – Mechelen

About the role

We are looking for a Logistics and Operations Supervisor to join our new project in Mechelen. You will lead the Business Support department, ensuring smooth daily operations and high‑quality customer service while managing a team of customer service administrators and inventory specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5 direct and 10 indirect reports in a fast‑paced environment.
• Oversee daily and weekly reporting, process optimisation and system upgrades.
• Maintain expert knowledge of customer service and inventory policies and procedures.
• Investigate and resolve complex customer issues promptly.
• Collaborate with managers and clients to identify and implement service improvements.
• Develop and coach team members to achieve performance targets.
• Set and monitor customer service KPIs and ensure compliance with food safety and hold procedures.
• Manage inventory processes, stock reconciliation and order fulfilment to avoid out‑of‑stock situations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, engineering, supply‑chain management or business administration, or equivalent experience.
• 3‑4 years of experience in a similar supervisory or team‑lead role.
• Fluent English; Dutch is a plus.
• Strong multicultural awareness and communication skills.
• Proven customer‑engagement and motivational abilities.
• Excellent prioritisation and problem‑solving skills.
