Licensed Registered Nurse – New Parent Support Program (Belgium)

About the role

French Consulting is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (or equivalent social work/therapy license) to join the New Parent Support Program (NPSP) in Belgium. You will work directly with expectant parents and families with children up to three years old, providing prevention‑focused, strengths‑based services that support military families and enhance mission readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct home visits and family assessments for expectant parents and families with children prenatal through age three.
• Identify strengths, psychosocial functioning, and risk factors for child maltreatment or family violence.
• Develop individualized service plans and provide parenting education, pregnancy support, and practical skill‑building.
• Deliver secondary and tertiary prevention services to at‑risk families and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Facilitate parenting classes, playgroups, and support groups, creating a respectful learning environment.
• Coordinate referrals to military and civilian resources, collaborate with FAP managers and case managers, and maintain accurate case documentation.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and respond to service needs outside standard hours.

Required profile

• Current license as a Registered Nurse, Clinical Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist.
• Commitment to prevention, early intervention, and family strengths.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to serve military families and adapt to the challenges of deployment, separation, and relocation.
