Legal Counsel – In‑house (Belgium)

About the role

CapitalatWork is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join its Belgian legal team. You will act as a trusted advisor across the organisation, handling a wide range of legal matters in a dynamic wealth‑management environment.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on financial‑services regulations and other regulatory issues affecting the business.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements and standard templates.
• Support corporate governance and corporate‑law matters.
• Provide legal assistance to internal departments such as Compliance, HR and Project Management, as well as senior management.
• Coordinate with external counsel when required.
• Assist with strategic projects, including occasional M&A transactions.
• Collaborate with the Luxembourg legal team on cross‑border matters.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in financial services or another highly regulated sector.
• Ability to work independently and deliver pragmatic, business‑oriented advice.
• Strong interest in a broad variety of legal topics rather than a narrow specialization.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch, French and English.
