Lead Cloud Ops Platform Engineer

About the role

As the founding Cloud Ops engineer in SOFICO's Data & AI product team, you will own the design, build, and operation of the AI Cloud platform that powers the Miles Enterprise Agentic Platform. This hands‑on role combines platform engineering, automation, and reliability to deliver secure, single‑tenant environments in Azure for global mobility customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate standardized, single‑tenant AI Cloud environments in Azure.
• Create and maintain an automated "instance factory" for rapid provisioning, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Implement end‑to‑end Infrastructure‑as‑Code, CI/CD, and GitOps practices.
• Drive platform standardisation by handling customer‑specific requirements through configuration rather than custom infrastructure.
• Ensure secure, reliable connectivity between the AI Cloud and on‑premise or customer‑hosted components of Miles Enterprise.
• Own platform reliability, security, and observability, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Senior‑level, hands‑on experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Ops, DevOps or SRE.
• Proven track record operating and scaling production SaaS or cloud‑native platforms.
• Strong background in automating infrastructure provisioning and deployment at scale.
• Ability to set technical direction independently and mentor a future team.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Container orchestration with Kubernetes, Helm and Docker.
• CI/CD pipeline creation and GitOps‑based deployment automation.
• Deep experience with Microsoft Azure (including Azure AI services as a plus).
• Observability tooling for monitoring, logging, alerting and incident response.
• Multi‑tenant platform management, secrets handling and fleet‑wide upgrades.
• Secure connectivity between cloud and on‑premise environments.
