Lawyer (2+ PQE) – EU Business Law

About the role

GA-Alliance is seeking a qualified lawyer to join its EU Business Law team in Brussels. The role focuses on advising private and public clients on European business, competition, and regulatory matters, while supporting EU institutions in legislative development.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth legal research and analysis of EU law and policy.
• Prepare submissions, reports, and other documents for EU institutions and agencies.
• Screen and evaluate new funding opportunities funded by EU bodies.
• Assist in building and managing consortiums for EU‑supported projects.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice on EU regulatory and compliance issues.
• Monitor and analyse legislative and policy developments across the 27 Member States.

Required profile

• Excellent academic credentials; an LL.M. is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years post‑qualification experience in European business or regulatory law.
• Experience in a top‑tier law firm is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of EU legal frameworks, institutions, and antitrust matters.
• Business‑development mindset and strong organisational abilities.
• Fluent English; additional EU languages are an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
