Lab Technician

About the role

SpectaCell is a TechBio start‑up developing a digital microscope for functional testing of cancer and immune therapies. We are seeking an experienced Lab Technician to build and run our new laboratory from the ground up, ensuring a clean, organized, and compliant environment that supports rapid product development.

Key responsibilities

• Set up the laboratory, including equipment installation, workspace layout, consumables management, and operational readiness.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, order, stock levels, documentation, and safety compliance.
• Prepare media, buffers, and work areas for cell‑culture experiments, performing aseptic handling, culture maintenance, passaging, and health monitoring.
• Conduct structured testing on prototype and reference instruments, record results accurately, and flag deviations.
• Develop and refine lab workflows to improve efficiency, repeatability, and scalability.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in a biotech or life‑science laboratory.
• Proven ability to run day‑to‑day lab operations and keep the environment organized and efficient.
• Experience working with laboratory instruments and supporting experimental workflows.
