Key Account Manager Retail

About the role

Willems Biscuits is looking for an experienced Key Account Manager Retail to drive sustainable, profitable growth with its international private‑label customers. You will manage a portfolio of retail partners across several markets, negotiate commercial agreements and ensure long‑term value for both the customers and the company.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a robust account strategy aligned with the Customer Brand Business (CBB) strategy, including annual business plans.
• Independently manage a portfolio of international retail customers, balancing priorities and identifying new opportunities.
• Lead annual commercial negotiations covering pricing, contracts and assortment strategies.
• Build and maintain a network within the FMCG market to uncover growth opportunities through category, market and competitive analysis.
• Own the customer relationship and contract management, meeting commercial objectives while managing budgets and resources.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and proactively manage risks and opportunities throughout the planning cycle.
• Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders (Sales Services, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D) to deliver on customer commitments and maximise satisfaction.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in an economic field.
• 3‑5 years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG or private‑label environments.
• Proven track record of independently managing key customer relationships and leading commercial negotiations.
• Strong understanding of retail dynamics, category management and profitability drivers.
• Excellent analytical, proactive and hands‑on mindset, with strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work in an international context.

Required skills

• Fluency in Dutch, French and English.
