Junior/Mid-level Associate – Litigation & Investigations

About the role

A&O Shearman LLP Belgium is seeking a motivated associate to join its Litigation & Investigations practice in Brussels (or Antwerp). The role offers exposure to high‑profile, cross‑border disputes and investigations for multinational corporations, financial institutions, and senior executives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior lawyers in handling commercial litigation, arbitration, corporate disputes, and regulatory investigations.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and client communications.
• Support white‑collar crime, enforcement, restructuring and insolvency matters.
• Collaborate with the global disputes platform to deliver coordinated solutions across jurisdictions.

Required profile

• Belgian Master’s degree in Law with strong academic results.
• 1‑4 years of experience in the litigation department of a reputable law firm.
• Excellent command of English and French and/or Dutch, both written and spoken.
• Team player with solid legal capabilities and an entrepreneurial mindset.
