Junior Software Engineer (Interactive Attractions)

About the role

Join Alterface’s young, passionate team of 20 to develop the technology behind award‑winning interactive attractions worldwide. As a Junior Software Engineer you will work on projects from specification through on‑site installation, using the proprietary Salto language and Salto™ interactive show‑control environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and install projects using Salto language and Salto™ environment.
• Manage project planning and on‑site installation tasks.
• Maintain and extend legacy code, adding features and fixing bugs.
• Design, develop, and execute unit tests and tooling in C# or C++.
• Create comprehensive technical and installation documentation.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on development processes, coding standards, and code reviews.
• Participate in solution‑focused design peer reviews.
• Support software and maintenance teams during on‑site installations.

Required profile

• Proficiency with source‑control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Experience in C++, C# and Python development.
• Fluent in written and spoken French and English.
• Strong communication skills for client and partner interaction.
• Driver’s licence.
• Bonus: experience with Unity or Unreal Engine.
