Junior Purchaser – Purchasing Department

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Purchaser to join our fast‑growing European leader in herbs and spices. Based in Walloon Brabant, you will support the Purchase Manager and gradually take ownership of supplier relationships and procurement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Purchase Manager with daily procurement activities, including order processing and data entry.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure timely follow‑up on requests.
• Communicate with suppliers to obtain offers, samples, pricing and resolve issues.
• Monitor deadlines, manage ad‑hoc requests and support cost‑optimisation initiatives.
• Participate in supplier evaluation, performance tracking and improvement actions.
• Take responsibility for specific purchasing projects and, over time, manage a portfolio of suppliers.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
• Well‑organized, structured working style with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills and comfort interacting with suppliers.
• Proactive, mature mindset with a hands‑on approach.
• Fluent in English, French and Dutch (written and spoken).
