Junior Project Manager – ESG & Sustainable Finance

About the role

Nexeo is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support ESG coordination and sustainable finance initiatives for a leading Belgian financial institution. You will work within a consultancy environment, bridging front‑office relationship managers and internal ESG experts to embed sustainability into daily banking activities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate ESG‑related projects across the Enterprises segment (Midcap & SME) and support the development of a forward‑looking ESG approach.
• Assist relationship managers in integrating ESG topics into client discussions and commercial activities.
• Monitor progress of ESG assignments, ensure timely reporting to management and contribute to regulatory objectives.
• Facilitate collaboration between front‑office teams, sales management and internal experts to maximize client impact.
• Communicate ESG priorities clearly to diverse internal audiences and simplify complex concepts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in banking, financial services or consultancy (recent graduates with strong economic background are welcome).
• Strong interest and understanding of ESG and sustainability topics.
• Commercial mindset with excellent organizational and coordination abilities.
• Proactive, autonomous, solution‑oriented attitude and strong communication skills.
