Junior Legal Counsel (Commercial, Data & Compliance)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to work alongside our General Counsel, handling commercial contracts, data protection, IP, and occasional M&A in a fast‑growing SaaS scale‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Review, negotiate and close commercial contracts with customers and suppliers.
• Manage data protection (GDPR) and compliance matters, including the AI Act.
• Provide pragmatic legal advice to sales, product and management teams.
• Support IP matters such as licensing, trademarks and open‑source compliance.
• Assist with HR‑related issues and corporate housekeeping.
• Explore and implement legal‑tech and AI tools to accelerate processes.

Required profile

• Master of Laws with 1‑4 years of experience in tech or a law firm (commercial/IT law).
• Strong knowledge of contract law and GDPR.
• Experience negotiating with international counterparties.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (French a plus).
• Bonus for IP, M&A experience or an LL.M. from the US or another international specialization.
