Junior Desktop Support Engineer – Vilvoorde/Mechelen

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team in the Vilvoorde/Mechelen area. As the first point of contact for users, you will deliver prompt L1 technical assistance and ensure smooth IT operations across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and triage support requests via phone, email and ticketing system, providing first‑line resolution.
• Perform hardware and software troubleshooting, including laptop/desktop repairs, printer support, OS installations and Outlook configuration.
• Execute password resets, account unlocks and basic device management using SCCM, Intune or Jamf Pro.
• Log, categorize and prioritize tickets, following SLA requirements and keeping accurate records.
• Travel independently to various shop locations by car to provide on‑site assistance.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with high initiative and flexibility.
• Excellent verbal communication in Dutch, French and English.
• Customer‑oriented attitude and ability to work in shift and on‑call environments.
• Valid driver’s licence for independent travel.

Required skills

• 2+ years of onsite enterprise support experience.
• Basic knowledge of SCCM, Intune and Jamf Pro for device management.
• Proficiency with Windows 11 and macOS (mandatory).
• Experience with VPN, Wi‑Fi, IP, DNS and general networking concepts.
• Hardware troubleshooting and software installation expertise.
