Junior Category Manager – Corporate Services

About the role

Umicore is seeking a Junior Category Manager for its Corporate Services sub‑categories within the Enterprise Services Procurement team. This position offers a fast‑track opportunity for a procurement professional to develop strategic sourcing skills in a global, structured environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and contract renewal initiatives for categories such as legal, marketing, facilities, travel and fleet.
• Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance and plan renewals.
• Maintain and track category pipelines and sourcing activities.
• Challenge internal demand and propose smarter sourcing options.
• Ensure compliance with procurement standards, tools and governance.
• Contribute to dashboards, reporting and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Utilise procurement systems, including Ariba, consistently across the team.

Required profile

• Junior‑level procurement professional with experience in sourcing, procurement or contract management.
• Strong interest in Corporate Services categories.
• Structured, analytical and detail‑oriented.
• Proactive, enthusiastic and eager to learn.
• Confident in stakeholder interaction.
• Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with procurement tools, specifically Ariba.
