Junior Business Developer – PV / BESS Projects

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Business Developer to support the development and delivery of photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage (BESS) projects in Belgium. The role covers the full project lifecycle, from lead qualification to hand‑over to operations, and offers a high degree of autonomy within a fast‑growing renewable‑energy developer.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and originate new PV and BESS opportunities, preparing tailored offers and supporting contract negotiations.
• Structure and negotiate core project agreements such as PPAs, EPC, O&M contracts and land‑lease arrangements.
• Define technical scope (design, capacity, technology) and coordinate the preparation of technical solutions.
• Build and maintain business plans, including CAPEX, OPEX and revenue assumptions, and present investment cases internally.
• Lead permitting processes, liaising with authorities and grid operators (DSO/TSO) to obtain required approvals.
• Manage project planning, milestones, risk registers and reporting throughout the development phase.
• Coordinate internal teams (sales, engineering, management) and external stakeholders (contractors, advisors, investors).
• Prepare hand‑over documentation for construction and support EPC contractors during execution, monitoring progress, budget, quality and safety.
• Ensure proper administrative follow‑up, documentation and project closure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Law or equivalent experience.
• 1‑2 years of experience in renewable‑energy project development (PV/BESS, B2B) within Belgium.
• Strong knowledge of contractual frameworks (PPA, EPC, O&M, land agreements) and energy markets.
• Familiarity with permitting processes, grid‑connection procedures and stakeholder management in Belgium.
• Fluent in French or Dutch.
