IT Project Developer – Banking (Freelance or Permanent)

About the role

Nexeo Belgium is seeking an IT Project Developer to work on a long‑term mission for a leading banking client in Belgium. The role can be taken on either as a freelance contract or a permanent position, offering the chance to contribute to critical transformation projects in the financial sector.

Key responsibilities

• Elaborate detailed technical designs following enterprise standards.
• Develop new code or maintain existing applications using the required programming languages, tools, or packages.
• Perform unit testing and support test management, including bug fixing.
• Estimate development workload or validate estimates provided by project managers.
• Prepare production installations, conduct integration and assembly testing.
• Review quality of designs and code supplied by external suppliers.
• Document all development activities, including design, code, unit tests, and code reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management.
• Proven experience in Android development using Kotlin.
• Experience working in Agile environments and with Scrum methodology.
• Fluent English; French and/or Dutch are a plus.
