Internship – LiveCom Suite Onboard Train Simulator Development

About the role

Televic Rail is looking for a Bachelor or Master student to join its R&D team and develop a web‑based LiveCom Suite Onboard Train Simulator. The project will create a virtual driver’s cabin where users can configure and test passenger information system functions in a realistic, interactive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a browser‑based simulator that visualises the internal architecture of a train’s driver’s cabin, displays, loudspeakers and communication units.
• Integrate LiveDIS, LED‑display and PCU models, allowing users to trigger playlists, emergency brakes and other events.
• Develop the user interface for configuring the number and type of communication units and for starting virtual trips.
• Conduct research (≈10 %), implementation (≈60 %) and experimentation (≈30 %) to validate the simulator against real‑world LiveCom Suite configurations.
• Document the simulator functionality and prepare demo material for expos and customer presentations.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in Computer Science, Embedded Software, AI/ML or related fields.
• Strong interest in railway systems and real‑time simulation.
• Ability to work independently or in a small team (1‑2 students) and manage project milestones.
