Internal Communication Specialist

About the role

Join Elia Belgium, a key player in the Belgian and European energy landscape, as an Internal Communication Specialist. You will support the Head of Internal Communications in shaping and delivering engaging internal campaigns, content, and events that reinforce the company’s sustainability mission.

Key responsibilities

• Help develop and implement the overall internal communications plan, turning strategy into inspiring stories and campaigns.
• Create and edit content for intranet, mailings, online magazines, digital screens, Elia TV and other internal channels.
• Design and launch internal communication campaigns for events, safety initiatives, and change processes.
• Collaborate with external creative agencies to produce videos, visuals and other multimedia assets.
• Prepare and promote internal events, ensure brand consistency and monitor campaign results.

Required profile

• Communications degree with 4‑7 years of experience in internal communication, creative design, copywriting or employer branding.
• Proven experience developing and executing internal communication strategies.
• Bilingual in Dutch and French (spoken and written) with strong English proficiency.
• Familiarity with digital tools, social media and basic audiovisual production.
• Creative, detail‑oriented, proactive and able to work both independently and in a team.

• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
• Canva
• Video editing software for short internal videos
• Layout and design tools for internal publications
• Internal communication platforms and digital screen management tools
