Import/Export Coordinator – Military Goods

About the role

The Import/Export Coordinator will manage the shipment of military items, equipment and dangerous goods from the Tubize site, ensuring full compliance with contractual clauses and national and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange and plan inbound and outbound transports of military goods in Belgium and abroad, respecting export‑control rules.
• Prepare all required documentation such as pro‑forma invoices, certificates of origin and packing lists.
• Manage customs regimes, give accurate instructions to customs agents and monitor authorisations (temporary admission, inward processing, etc.).
• Assist in customs classification of finished products, semi‑finished products and spare parts and keep internal databases up‑to‑date.
• Support the Trade Compliance Officer on customs‑related tasks and generate regular customs activity reports.
• Apply knowledge of transport documentation (CMR, AWB, BL), Incoterms and, where relevant, dangerous‑goods regulations (ADR/IATA/IMDG).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Transport or a related field; customs specialization is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar import/export or customs coordination role.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong sense of responsibility, methodical approach and ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent analytical, synthesis and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while respecting sector‑specific ethics.
