HR Manager

About the role

The HR Manager will be based in Milmort (Liège, Belgium) supporting Skechers’ European Distribution Center. The role focuses on delivering HR solutions that boost operational performance, enhance employee experience and nurture a culture of excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a change agent, driving organisational transformation and communicating across all staff levels.
• Partner strategically with corporate and operational leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
• Lead, develop and manage a team of four HR Business Partners, providing coaching on complex people‑management issues.
• Implement talent enablement programmes, oversee temporary agency relationships and committee processes.
• Provide HR generalist support, collaborate with recruitment teams and drive talent acquisition for all positions, including leadership roles.
• Coordinate employee‑engagement initiatives, promote a positive culture and analyse HR metrics to recommend workforce improvements.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and oversee HR processes, procedures and projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner or HR managerial role.
• Strong background in employee relations within an operational environment.
• Proven track record of supporting HR system implementations; Workday experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build confidential, productive relationships.
• Adaptable, able to thrive in a fast‑paced setting and handle escalation of operational issues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office and similar productivity packages.
• Knowledge of Workday or comparable HR information systems.
