About the role
The NATO Office of Strategic Communications is seeking a Head of Social Media to lead its digital engagement strategy. Based in Brussels, you will shape how the Alliance communicates with global audiences across multiple platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with NATO’s communication objectives.
- Oversee content creation, editorial production, and distribution on X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook.
- Manage paid advertising campaigns and influencer partnerships to amplify reach.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand integrity.
- Monitor analytics, assess performance, and adjust tactics based on audience insights.
Required profile
- University degree in journalism, communications, international relations or a related field.
- Minimum five years of experience coordinating multiple social media channels.
- Proven ability to lead a small team and manage a budget.
- Advanced proficiency in English or French and beginner level in the other NATO official language.
- Strong political judgment and analytical skills to translate strategy into creative digital content.
Required skills
- Hands‑on experience with X (Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook.
