Head of Procurement

About the role

We are looking for a Head of Procurement to lead the global Source‑to‑Pay (S2P) function at argenx, a fast‑growing biotech company focused on autoimmune therapies. The role will own the end‑to‑end procurement process, drive world‑class sourcing across all third‑party spend categories and support the company’s multi‑dimensional expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain a centralized, governed S2P operating model with clear RACI, standardized processes and controls.
• Develop and execute standardized sourcing strategies for non‑strategic third‑party arrangements and collaborate on customized solutions for strategic partners such as CDMOs, CROs, hospitals and IIP.
• Partner with Digital, Legal, Compliance, R&D, Commercial, Clinical Operations, Quality, Regulatory Affairs and Technical Operations to embed technology tools and ensure seamless cross‑functional collaboration.
• Implement supplier and risk management frameworks, ensuring cost competitiveness, compliance and innovation.
• Lead a global procurement team, fostering a culture where external vendor partnerships enable scale, cost optimisation and speed to market.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in global procurement or sourcing, preferably within biotech, pharma or life‑science environments.
• Strong track record of establishing and scaling S2P processes and operating models.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across legal, compliance, R&D and commercial functions.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on cost optimisation, risk mitigation and operational agility.
