Head of People & Culture

About the role

Curewiki runs a patient-initiated clinical research discovery platform across Europe, is vendor-cleared at top-tier pharma sponsors and CROs, and is building its commercial organisation. As Head of People & Culture you will own hiring, development, reward and retention across a remote, multi-country European team. It is a player-coach role: you personally run the key searches while building the people infrastructure, including multi-country employment setups, a compensation and equity framework and a performance rhythm.

Key responsibilities

• Talent acquisition: own the hiring engine end to end, including open-role portfolio, search strategy and pipeline health, and run fast, transparent, evidence-based processes with feedback at every step
• Employer branding: build the brand that attracts A-players
• People operations: set up employment across the European footprint (contracts, EOR vs entity decisions, onboarding) and run payroll coordination, social security, absence and policies with part-time HR support and external providers
• Onboarding: make new hires productive in days with clear 90-day expectations
• Compensation and equity: build a compensation framework with bands per role and level, benchmarked for European markets
• Performance, development and culture: install a lightweight performance rhythm, development based on strengths, and deliberate culture in a remote, multi-country company
• Coach and confidential sounding board for leadership on team design and organisational decisions
• Run the people function AI-first, using modern tooling for sourcing, screening support, documentation and analytics

Required profile

• Proven track record of scaling the people function from a small core team to a multi-country organisation
• Personally closed senior hires, able to explain how they were found and retained
• Experience setting up or running employment in multiple EU countries, including choosing between EOR and entity
• Experience building a compensation and equity framework from scratch
• Player-coach style, comfortable owning the work directly
• Fluent professional English

Nice to have

• Healthtech, life sciences or other regulated industry experience
• Supporting a company through a financing round and subsequent team scaling
• Familiarity with Belgian employment and social security specifics
