GL Accountant – Brussels – €75k + 30 days vacation

About the role

Join an international law firm located in the heart of Brussels and become a key partner to senior leadership. You will own the month‑end close, ensure the integrity of balance‑sheet accounts and support the office’s financial strategy while benefiting from a modern office and a 50% home‑working policy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the month‑end close process, including journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and provisions.
• Maintain and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts in line with internal controls and firm policy.
• Handle fixed‑asset accounting from recognition through depreciation to disposal.
• Prepare and file all statutory and regulatory submissions on time and audit‑ready.
• Partner with the COO, Office Managing Partner and Finance Manager on budgets, forecasts and variance analysis.
• Monitor regulatory changes and drive continuous improvement of finance processes and reporting tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar General Ledger accounting role.
• Fluent in English and French or Dutch.
