Full Stack Software Engineer (Hybrid, Belgium)

About the role

4G Clinical is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join the team responsible for the Prancer RTSM® platform, a proprietary solution supporting complex clinical trials. The role is hybrid, based in Belgium, and involves working on both server‑side and client‑side components of a high‑availability application.

Key responsibilities

• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code and produce unit tests and documentation.
• Design and implement low‑latency, high‑availability, and performant applications.
• Develop server‑side models, algorithms, and RESTful web service APIs.
• Implement client‑side logic, UX design, HTML layouts, Angular components, and styling.
• Ensure security, data protection, and integration of data storage solutions.

Required profile

• 1–10 years of experience as a Software Engineer in an agile environment working on web‑based applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent (master’s preferred).
• Strong understanding of scalable application design, unit testing, and debugging.

Required skills

• Back‑end frameworks: Django, Ruby on Rails.
• ORM, Object‑Oriented Programming, micro‑services architecture.
• Front‑end technologies: Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, CoffeeScript, HTML5, SCSS/CSS.
• Responsive design (Material Design), Lodash, REST API development.
• Version control and CI/CD tools: Git, JIRA, Jenkins.
• Cloud/virtualisation basics: Docker, AWS EC2, AWS S3 (optional).
