FTTH Designer – Fiber Network Design

About the role

As an FTTH Designer you will create, validate, and optimise fibre‑to‑the‑home network layouts for new deployments. Working closely with project managers, engineers and field teams, you will ensure designs meet technical standards, permitting requirements and cost‑efficiency goals.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse utility plans and existing infrastructure documentation to inform design decisions.
• Validate FTTH network designs against technical specifications, project scopes and permitting constraints.
• Redesign and optimise routes when field conditions, utility conflicts or project changes arise.
• Collaborate with project and programme managers to define scope, technical requirements and risk assessments.
• Produce and maintain detailed design documentation, including schematics, routing maps and supporting records.
• Select efficient routing solutions that minimise deployment costs while respecting local regulations.
• Coordinate with permitting and utility platforms to verify feasibility and obtain necessary approvals.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in FTTH or telecom network design.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight project deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GIS tools such as QGIS.
• Experience using permit and utility coordination platforms (e.g., Osiris, Powalco, Gipod).
• Familiarity with FTTH design software; AutoCAD knowledge is a plus.
• Data analysis and interpretation capabilities.
