Frontend Software Engineer

About the role

Qargo is looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join its Ghent office. You will help bring to life a cloud‑based Transport Management Platform used daily by logistics professionals across Europe. The role offers autonomy, ownership and the chance to impact a fast‑growing SaaS product.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain rich web‑based user interfaces for the platform.
• Implement interactive features such as drag‑and‑drop planning screens, custom document editors and map visualisations.
• Work with React and a GraphQL (Apollo) API, leveraging libraries like Zustand, Ant Design and Linaria.
• Optimize performance and ensure a responsive, reliable user experience at scale.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, backend engineers and designers to translate logistics requirements into elegant frontend solutions.
• Contribute to frontend architecture decisions and help shape the future direction of the product.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in frontend development.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to make pragmatic technical trade‑offs.
• Passion for building scalable, high‑quality software that improves efficiency and sustainability in logistics.
