Freelance Senior Wind Engineer - Technical Due Diligence

About the role

3E is looking for an experienced freelance Senior Wind Engineer with a proven track record in technical due diligence services (contract review, yield assessment, site visits) in CEE, the Middle East, the Caucasus and/or Central Asia. The engineer will carry out technical due diligence for wind installations in Benelux, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia, working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Technical review of main components of wind turbines
• Review of contracts (TSA, O&M contract, Power Purchase Agreement, grid connection, etc.)
• Review of land leases and building permits
• Review of environmental impact studies
• Review of long-term energy yield assessments
• Drafting technical due diligence studies within the planned budget and internal quality process
• Liaising with project lenders, sponsors and other stakeholders

Required profile

• +5 years of experience in technical due diligence services in the wind energy sector
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Experience working with renewable energy developers and/or financiers
• Site inspection certificate (GWO working at heights)

Required skills

• Writing bankable reports, punch lists and site visit reports
• Strong practical and organisational skills
