Freelance Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Freelance Senior Accountant to manage daily accounting activities and drive automation initiatives within our industrial organization. You will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to implement innovative financial solutions that improve efficiency and support our business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Enter purchase invoices, costs, and banking transactions (supplier and customer payments) on a daily basis.
• Follow up and execute supplier payments, verify supplier reminders for accuracy.
• Prepare and file VAT returns, intra‑community declarations, foreign VAT recoveries, and customer lists.
• Assist in month‑end balance closing, perform checks, and make necessary adjustments.
• Support Assistant Accountants with VAT and accounting processing.
• Identify digitisation opportunities, lead projects to implement new digital tools and systems, and optimise existing financial processes.
• Train employees on new digital tools and systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent experience.
• Several years of experience in a similar senior accounting role.
• Strong numerical and administrative abilities.
• Extensive knowledge of Excel and experience configuring financial software and SAP systems.
• Pronounced VAT expertise with a keen interest in tax matters.
• Stress‑resistant and open to change.
