Freelance IT Workplace Technical Delivery Lead

About the role

We are seeking a freelance Technical Delivery Lead to drive workplace and infrastructure projects for a global customer in Brussels. The role combines deep operational IT knowledge with project delivery expertise, acting as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of workplace and infrastructure projects from planning through implementation.
• Act as the technical SME, providing guidance on infrastructure and end‑user computing technologies.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies and delivery challenges, and put mitigation plans in place.
• Translate technical concepts into business‑friendly language for stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities across technical teams, vendors, partners and business users.
• Support initiatives such as device lifecycle management, laptop refreshes, mobile device deployments and workplace transformation.
• Ensure projects align with IT Service Management (ITIL) best practices and operational standards.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops and communications to maintain engagement and project success.
• Drive project governance to keep deliverables on schedule and risks managed.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in IT Operations, Service Delivery or Technical Delivery Management.
• Proven track record delivering IT infrastructure or workplace technology projects.
• Strong understanding of ITIL principles and operational environments.
• Experience working alongside infrastructure, workplace or endpoint engineering teams.
• Good knowledge of modern workplace technologies, including Microsoft Intune and endpoint management.
• Ability to assess technical impact of solutions and communicate clearly to business stakeholders.
• Experience identifying project risks, dependencies and technical constraints.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience with laptop/device refresh programmes, Microsoft Intune deployments, mobile device (iPhone) rollouts, workplace transformation initiatives and endpoint management solutions.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
