Freelance Helpdesk Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Freelance Helpdesk Support Engineer to join an enterprise client in Brussels. You will be part of the IT support team, delivering first‑line assistance to employees and helping resolve day‑to‑day technical issues.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for IT‑related incidents via phone, email and ticketing tools.
• Troubleshoot Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint) and hardware (laptops, desktops, printers).
• Manage Active Directory accounts, permissions and user onboarding.
• Provide VPN support and basic network connectivity troubleshooting.
• Create, update and close tickets in the ITSM system, escalating complex cases when needed.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and follow internal procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Helpdesk, Service Desk or IT Support role.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft workplace technologies.
• Familiarity with Active Directory user administration.
• Strong communication skills in English; Dutch and/or French is a plus.
• Customer‑focused mindset and ability to work in a team.
