Food & Beverage Attendant – Service & Cashier

About the role

The Food & Beverage Attendant provides front‑of‑house service in a hospitality setting, handling cash transactions, preparing and serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean dining environment. This position works closely with kitchen staff and guests to ensure a smooth and pleasant dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Collect sales slips, total sales on the cash register, accept payments and make change.
• Maintain cash records and present bills to guests.
• Set up food service counters, steam tables, and beverage stations with hot and cold items.
• Prepare coffee, tea, juices, and soft drinks; fill dispensers as needed.
• Seat guests, record their selections, and transmit orders to the kitchen.
• Clean tables, work areas, and immediate surroundings after service.
• Prepare fruits, vegetables, salads, and portion meats or seafood for cooking.
• Monitor cooking progress to prevent over‑cooking and ensure food safety.

Required profile

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English and perform basic arithmetic.
• Physical capability to lift up to 40 lb, stand, stoop, bend, walk and reach frequently.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays and special events.
• Completion of at least 4 hours of food sanitation training within 30 days of hire and annual refresher training.
• Meeting age and medical examination requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
