Flex Income Plan (FIP) Consultant – Freelance

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Flex Income Plan (FIP) Consultant to lead the rollout and evolution of our salary‑sacrifice based benefits program for non‑exempt employees. This freelance mission runs from July 2024 to December 2026 and combines strategic coordination with hands‑on operational delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the end‑to‑end rollout of the Flex Income Plan, ensuring correct payroll implementation and employee enrollment.
• Serve as the primary contact for all FIP‑related queries from employees, HR, payroll, and finance.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, Legal, Payroll) and external vendors.
• Monitor participation, usage, and performance metrics; produce reports and actionable recommendations.
• Handle operational tasks such as employee selection follow‑up, issue resolution, and support queries.
• Create and deliver communication materials (FAQs, intranet content, presentations, webinars) and organise information and Q&A sessions.
• Support the annual warrants plan cycle with communication and employee assistance.
• Act as a bridge between business units, payroll, and IT systems to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Approximately 5 years of hands‑on experience implementing Flex Income Plans or similar salary‑sacrifice models.
• Background in compensation & benefits with a strong operational focus.
• In‑depth knowledge of Belgian social law.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Proven stakeholder‑management and communication abilities across all organisational levels.
• Ability to work autonomously as the central point of contact.

Required skills

• Experience with Flex Income Plan rollout and payroll impact.
• Project‑management capabilities.
• Familiarity with HR tools such as SD Worx and eBlox.
