Financial Controller – Brussels

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join the Belgian finance function of an international retail and FMCG group. You will be the technical backbone for all number‑related activities, supporting both local and group finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Full ownership of month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Prepare and deliver group reporting.
• Coordinate external audit as the single point of contact for auditors, tax advisors and group finance.
• Partner with accounting, controlling and commercial teams on margin and performance analysis.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Drive process improvement, ERP evolution and reporting redesign.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accountancy or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in financial control, including IFRS reporting and consolidation.
• Fluency in English and French or English and Dutch.
• Experience in a Big 4 environment is a plus.
