Finance Project Accountant - Group Consolidation

About the role

Aerospacelab, a vertically integrated small satellite manufacturer and earth observation services developer, is creating a new Finance Project Accountant position in its Finance department. Reporting to the Head of Finance in a flat organisation, you will run the Group consolidation under IFRS for the first time in 2025 and make it scalable with the company's growth. You will also act as the central link between external auditors, IFRS advisors and local finance teams, and standardise reporting quality and practices across France, Belgium, Switzerland and the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Run the quarterly and annual consolidation process under IFRS across all Group entities, with the support of external consultants
• Operate, maintain and improve the consolidation tool: mappings, intercompany reconciliations, FX, eliminations and reporting packages
• Review accounting operations across subsidiaries by designing, rolling out and monitoring internal controls
• Improve the quality, reliability and timeliness of Group financial reporting
• Act as the contact point for local finance teams, auditors and IFRS consultants, coordinating requests, deliverables and timelines
• Maintain the Group accounting manual and consolidation guidelines under IFRS
• Standardise closing practices and chart-of-accounts mapping across entities
• Contribute to the Finance team's transformation through automation, AI tools and clearer structures

Required profile

• Degree in accounting, finance or audit
• 5 to 8 years of experience in accounting, finance, external audit or group reporting, ideally in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment
• Interest in different accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS)
• Fluent French and English, written and spoken
• Strong communication, structured and organised approach, autonomy and proactivity

Nice to have

• Hands-on consolidation experience
• Working knowledge of Anaplan, especially for consolidation and financial reporting
• Experience with Odoo
• Scale-up or industrial sector (space, aviation, production) background
