Employment Law Associate

About the role

We are seeking motivated Employment Law Associates to join leading law firms in Brussels. The role offers the chance to work closely with senior partners, gain hands‑on experience across a range of employment matters, and develop a solid foundation for a career in labour law.

Key responsibilities

• Advise corporate clients on individual and collective employment issues, including hiring, dismissals and restructurings.
• Draft, review and negotiate employment contracts, internal policies and workplace regulations.
• Support clients with social security, employee benefits and overall HR compliance.
• Represent clients in employment disputes, litigation and negotiations with unions or public authorities.

Required profile

• Belgian law degree.
• 0–5 years of experience in employment law, ranging from recent graduates to lawyers with up to five years of practice.
• Native proficiency in Dutch or French.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Belgian employment legislation.
• Legal drafting and contract review abilities.
• Litigation and negotiation experience in labour matters.
