Employment Law Associate – Brussels

About the role

Join leading law firms in Brussels as an Employment Law Associate, working closely with senior partners who are dedicated to mentoring and supporting your professional development. The role is suitable for junior lawyers completing their stage as well as lawyers with up to five years of experience in employment law.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on individual and collective employment matters, including hiring, dismissals, and restructurings.
• Draft and review employment contracts, internal policies, and workplace regulations.
• Assist clients with social security, employee benefits, and broader HR compliance issues.
• Represent clients in employment disputes, litigation, and negotiations with unions or public authorities.

Required profile

• Law degree from a Belgian university.
• 0–5 years of experience in employment law, covering junior to mid‑level candidates.
• Native proficiency in Dutch or French.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Belgian employment legislation.
• Excellent drafting and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
