Employment Law Associate (1-5 years experience)

About the role

Linklaters Belgium is seeking a motivated lawyer to join its Employment practice. The associate will work on a variety of collective and individual employment matters, supporting both transactional and litigation work for domestic and international clients.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and review employment contracts, collective redundancy plans, and corporate restructuring documents.
• Provide advisory services on collective and individual employment law issues.
• Represent clients in employment litigation before courts.
• Collaborate with clients' legal and HR departments across Belgium and abroad.
• Participate in cross‑border projects with colleagues worldwide.

Required profile

• 1 to 5 years of experience as a lawyer with a focus on employment law.
• Native Dutch speaker with excellent English and French proficiency.
• First‑class Belgian law degree, preferably complemented by international education or a postgraduate qualification.
• Strong analytical, drafting and presentation abilities, commercially aware and solution‑oriented.
• Team player capable of handling complexity and ambiguity.
