Embedded Software Engineer – Automotive Systems

About the role

As an Embedded Software Engineer in our advanced automotive engineering centre, you will design, develop and validate next‑generation software for vehicle electronic control units. You will work on innovative, connected and safe mobility features while ensuring compliance with international automotive standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and validate embedded software for automotive ECUs.
• Define and refine software architectures and system requirements.
• Ensure compliance with ASPICE, ISO 26262 and ISO 21434.
• Integrate AUTOSAR‑based components using Vector AUTOSAR stacks.
• Develop bootloaders and HSM firmware.
• Perform static and dynamic code analysis, debugging and performance optimisation.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for traceability.
• Collaborate with hardware, validation and systems engineering teams in an agile environment.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in embedded software development.
• Strong understanding of embedded hardware/software interactions.
• Experience with automotive development standards such as ASPICE.

Required skills

• C / C++ programming for embedded systems.
• AUTOSAR architecture and Vector AUTOSAR stack.
• ASPICE, ISO 26262, ISO 21434 compliance.
• Bootloader and Hardware Security Module (HSM) firmware development.
• Static and dynamic code analysis tools.
• Debugging and performance optimisation techniques.
• Technical documentation and traceability practices.
• Agile development methodologies.
