Domain Lead - Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

About the role

The Domain Lead – Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery is responsible for ensuring Ypto’s operational resilience and the IT continuity of SNCB. The role covers both organisational business continuity planning and technical disaster recovery for critical ICT services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and continuously improve a comprehensive Business Continuity Plan (BCP) for Ypto, including Business Impact Assessments.
• Define and monitor an IT disaster recovery strategy for SNCB and its subsidiaries, selecting data‑center locations, technologies and providers.
• Lead the creation, testing and maintenance of IT disaster recovery and crisis management plans.
• Oversee regular drills, tabletop exercises and full‑scale simulations to validate BCP and DR plans.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and contractual security and continuity requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of relevant business experience, with at least 5 years in IT disaster recovery planning.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field.
• Proven knowledge of DR planning, risk‑modeling techniques (Monte Carlo, bow‑tie) and relevant certifications.
• Fluent in Dutch or French (C2) and English (C1); second language at B2 level.

• Design and implementation of IT DR strategies, including RTO/RPO definition.
