DevOps Engineer

About the role

ACENSI is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a client in the energy sector, based in Brussels. The role combines 24/7 operational support with development work, helping to automate and maintain critical energy‑balancing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for application incidents, providing work‑arounds or escalating to development/infrastructure teams.
• Support the application landscape around the clock, handling firewall administration and other operational tasks.
• Collaborate with developers, traders, risk officers and treasury to design, build and operate automated solutions.
• Implement infrastructure‑as‑code, CI pipelines and micro‑service architectures to improve reliability and speed of delivery.
• Participate in feature teams to conceptualise, create, maintain and operate parts of the automated energy‑dispatch system.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot production issues quickly.
• Willingness to work in a rotating on‑call schedule.
• Experience working in cross‑functional squads and communicating with business users.
