Deskside Support Specialist / End User Computing Engineer

About the role

The Deskside Support Specialist / End User Computing Engineer will ensure that desktop, laptop and mobile environments run smoothly for end‑users across multiple Belgian sites. The role combines on‑site and remote assistance, device provisioning and ongoing maintenance to deliver a secure and reliable user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software incidents for PCs, laptops, smartphones and tablets, both remotely and on‑site.
• Deploy, configure and image desktops, laptops and peripherals using SCCM, MDT or similar tools.
• Maintain and update common business applications such as Microsoft Office 365, VPN clients and collaboration tools.
• Ensure devices comply with security policies, including antivirus, encryption and patch management.
• Track hardware and software inventory, manage asset lifecycle and licensing.
• Log and manage incidents, service requests and changes in ITSM platforms like ServiceNow or JIRA following ITIL processes.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security and vendor teams on projects, upgrades and migrations.
• Provide end‑user training and guidance on IT policies and best practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows, macOS, iOS and Android operating systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365, VPN and remote desktop solutions.
• Hands‑on knowledge of SCCM, MDT or comparable imaging and deployment tools.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, JIRA and ITIL incident management processes.
• Understanding of endpoint security, including antivirus, encryption and patch management.
