Design Engineer – CAD & Product Development

About the role

Amaris Consulting is looking for a Design Engineer to join its Belgium team. You will create, develop and optimise engineering designs that meet client requirements and industry standards, contributing to a variety of challenging projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design components, systems and products using CAD tools.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are functional, manufacturable and aligned with project goals.
• Conduct feasibility studies, design reviews and risk assessments to improve performance and reliability.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications and technical documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
• Support prototype development, testing and validation, making modifications as needed.
• Stay updated on the latest trends, materials and technologies in design engineering.
• Provide technical support to junior engineers and engage with clients to deliver tailored solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in design engineering or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA or AutoCAD.
• Solid understanding of engineering principles, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Fluent in English and French (Dutch is a plus).
• Experience preparing technical documentation and supporting product development cycles.
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
• Proactive learner with a passion for innovation.
