Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team in Liège, Belgium. You will help build modern data platforms that support advanced engineering, simulation, analytics and AI projects for a leading defense and aerospace company.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures for both structured and unstructured data.
• Set up, optimise and manage databases, data lakes and data warehouses.
• Develop pipelines that feed machine‑learning and advanced analytics workloads.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Ensure data quality, consistency and performance across all platforms.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, data scientists and system engineers.
• Support multiple engineering projects simultaneously and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Engineering, Informatics or a related field.
• Approximately 5 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Comfortable working in multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Fluent English communication skills.
