Data Engineer

About the role

JEMS is seeking a creative and technically‑driven Data Engineer to join its Belgian team. You will design, build, and maintain end‑to‑end data solutions that transform complex data challenges into actionable business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the full data lifecycle, from acquisition to exploitation, enabling data‑driven decisions across business units.
• Identify, collect, and integrate diverse datasets to address critical operational problems.
• Implement monitoring tools and enforce governance standards to ensure data integrity.
• Translate business objectives into clear technical data rules and specifications.
• Scale solutions through robust deployment practices, including unit, integration, and regression testing.

Required profile

• A technophile who enjoys solving complex puzzles and staying ahead of emerging technologies.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on delivering reliable, actionable data.
• Excellent communication skills to bridge business needs and technical implementation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with at least one object‑oriented language such as Python, Java, or Scala.
