Data Center Technician III – Global Server Operations

About the role

Join Google’s Hardware Operations team to install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain cutting‑edge server hardware and software in a world‑class data center. You will work on complex network components and lead small project teams to ensure reliable infrastructure for Google services.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and test servers, racks, routers, switches, hubs and bridges.
• Troubleshoot hardware and Linux‑based software issues.
• Maintain and monitor server systems in a data‑center or NOC environment.
• Lead or contribute to small project teams for larger installations and develop contingency plans.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve technical problems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands‑on experience with computer and server hardware troubleshooting.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and networking protocols.
• Project‑management and leadership experience, with a collaborative mindset.
• Preferred: prior work in a data‑center or network operations center and experience maintaining server systems.
