Data Center Technician III, Global Server Operations

About the role

The Hardware Operations team at Google needs a skilled Data Center Technician III to install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain server hardware and software in a cutting‑edge data‑center environment. You will work on complex networking components and lead small project teams on larger installations.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain, and support Google Cloud region infrastructure.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolve escalated hardware and software issues.
• Test and evaluate new server hardware components and designs.
• Configure and troubleshoot operating system issues on servers.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to achieve final resolution of technical problems.
• Work non‑standard hours, including weekends, night shifts, and holidays as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with computer and server hardware troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems and networking protocols.
• Project management and leadership experience.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
