Data Center Technician – Day Shift

About the role

As a CBRE Data Center Technician working day shifts in Brussels, you will carry out preventative maintenance and corrective repairs to keep the data centre operating safely and efficiently. The role is part of the Critical and Technical Services team, providing technical support for critical client environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of mechanical, engineering and technical equipment, including UPS, PDUs and HVAC systems.
• Monitor the Building Management System (BMS), respond to alarms and carry out emergency repairs.
• Execute planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance tasks on all infrastructure.
• Take meter readings, conduct building walkthroughs and document maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with third‑party vendors, ensure compliance with contracts and alert management of any performance issues.
• Follow safety procedures, regulatory requirements and quality standards while maintaining accurate records.
• Complete required training and adhere to established processes under supervision.

Required profile

• Technical training or apprenticeship with 1‑2 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Willingness to work day shifts, including occasional weekends or holidays.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role and communicate clearly in English and either Dutch or French.
• Strong organisational skills, basic math ability and an inquisitive mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Basic understanding of HVAC and building‑management systems.
