Cybersecurity Offensive Specialist – Vulnerability Assessment

About the role

The Cybersecurity Offensive Specialist is responsible for performing comprehensive vulnerability assessments across software, hardware, and network environments. The role involves scanning, analyzing, reporting findings, and delivering remediation recommendations to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability assessments on complex systems, applications, and infrastructures.
• Analyze and interpret scan results, produce detailed reports and actionable recommendations.
• Prioritize vulnerabilities using established risk‑assessment methodologies.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to design and implement remediation and detection measures.
• Develop and maintain custom scripts and tools to support vulnerability analysis.
• Contribute to the definition and improvement of vulnerability‑management policies and procedures.
• Support compliance audits related to vulnerability‑management activities.
• For senior level: design enterprise‑wide vulnerability‑management strategies, analyze zero‑day and emerging threats, lead R&D initiatives, and act as a subject‑matter expert.

Required profile

• Medior: advanced knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools and platforms (e.g., Tenable), proven ability to perform manual assessments, strong scripting skills, and good understanding of compliance standards.
• Senior: deep expertise in identifying zero‑day vulnerabilities, experience with source‑code reviews, ability to design enterprise‑level strategies, and strong advisory skills on mitigation and detection.
